Greetings and gestures from Chiang Mai, it is mostly sunny with a chance of paradigm shift, we will be cruising at an attitude of gratitude and I invite you to enjoy your journey within the here and now.

The wi-fi is shut so I will scribe to post yesterday’s tomorrow (for you in the states).  posted on 6th January

Today was a synchronistic day.  I awoke early to the sounds of chanting and bells from the wat across the street from the guesthouse and after a good nights rest, I was ready to greet Chiang Mai!  I packed up my things and headed out to the guest house where I really want to stay and, lucky for me, I got a room!  See, everything is first come first serve and this place is really cool so it’s rarely available.  People check in and end up staying for a while.

Here is their website: www.gaps-house.com

After arriving I just puttered to my hearts content, shuffling and unpacking, enjoying the sounds of the street.  After a while I slimmed down my pack and headed out to learn my neighborhood.  I ran into a man I met last night and whiled away a few hours connecting and sharing some strange coincidences.I had the best street food that was so spicy my mouth continued dancing through 2 hour massage.

I sat at a coffee shop for a few hours with some ppl from the PacNW and laughed at our farang experiences.  Imagine trying to guesture to someone for a tampon?  We laughed and chatted with passers by until the shop closed.  I got some great advice, both solicited and unsolicited that I will have to look into.  In the mean time I think I will get as much massage as I can stand until I decide what I want to do.

I’m still experiencing the take off and landing sensations, it’s really trippy, and I figure I may never have these feelings again so I am riding it to see where it goes…?  I met a woman today who has experienced that as well and we think it may just a Chiang Mai thing, or maybe it’s a remembering?  I’m not sure exactly what is going on but I am having many many body sensations.  Christine’s boy firend, Eddie, teaches a movement class that unwinds the emotional body through breathing and awareness and I think that may help get to the center of it.

I am tired and comfy so I am heading off to dream land.

Sounds like you are already meeting some interesting people! How long will you be in Thailand? I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay. By the way, I am totally jealous of all those massages you’re getting- I could use about 163 massages myself :)
